THE STORY OF RAPUNZEL was filmed almost simultaneous to THE STORY OF HANSEL AND GRETEL with a slightly altered witch making a return visit.  While I slightly remember the story from my childhood it seems much longer than the version I had heard.  Ray chose this story because he was fascinated with the concept of the tower and the long flowing blond hair, though he later commented that the subject was actually a little mature for it's intended audience.
